The China Confucius Research Institute was toured by Philippe De Maeyer, professor and academician of Ghent University in Belgium, recipient of the 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award, and Tim Van de Voorde, professor of Ghent University, director of the Sino-Belgian Joint Laboratory of Geographic Information. At the Confucius Institute Headquarters Experience Base, they enjoyed rubbing, a traditional Chinese technique, and were charmed by traditional Chinese culture.
