published date: 2023-01-11 views:183

Recently, the “Sanxingdui Unveiled – 12K Immersive Digital Exhibition” (Preview) opened at the Art Exhibitions China and the Deep Digital Museum.

Sanxingdui relics are deeply popular for their distinctive, mysterious, and romantic characteristics. Moreover, the Sanxingdui site is named “one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of mankind in the 20th century.” It was recognized as a “Project to Trace the Origins of Chinese Civilization” in 2013 and 2021.

With Sanxingdui culture as the theme, the exhibition uses 12K digital technology to deeply integrate culture and technology as a solid step to implement China’s strategy of cultural digitization. Using the 12K Close Look into National Treasures as the material, the exhibition tries to provide a clear view of the splendor hidden behind the mysterious veil of ancient Shu state civilization. This marks the debut of the 12K artifact image in an exhibition. With a shooting distance of less than 10 cm, the historical traces are zoomed in to reveal the sealed stories hidden in the details, allowing the audience to catch a glimpse of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization.

Notably, with creative expression and a unique interpretation perspective, 10 pieces of Sanxingdui relics represented by the golden mask are exhibited in the clearest and most detailed way at the closest distance. By blending technology, music, and paintings into the overall art creation, the exhibition provides the audience with an immersive visual, auditory, and sensory experience, allowing them to perceive the open and inclusive Chinese civilization that combines a diversity of elements.
