On the afternoon of September 29, 2022, the Chinese Smart Classroom was officially unveiled at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing. H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing, and Prof. Ma Jianfei, Director-General of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) attended the event and delivered speeches.

The two sides said that in recent years, the CLEC and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing have worked closely together. International Chinese language education in Indonesia has flourished, with special programs including Leadership Training Course for Principals, Teachers Training for Local Chinese Teachers, "Chinese + Vocational Skills" Training for Local Teachers in Indonesia, Adaptive Training for Indonesian International Students in China, and "Chinese Bridge" Virtual Intensive Study in China. The CLEC Smart Classroom will present abundant teaching and cultural resources through digital, network-based and intelligent modes based on the smart screen. Thus, CLEC provides a more high-quality, efficient, convenient and interesting Chinese language teaching environment and services for the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing.

Afterwards, Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun, together with his wife Mrs. Sih Elsiwi Handayani Oratmangun, Ambassador Mr. Dino R Kusnadi, Education Counsellor Mr. Yaya Sutarya, and embassy staff, experienced the interactive sessions of the Chinese Smart Classroom, including Chinese character writing, audio wall charts, learning to sing Chinese songs and games to learn Chinese.

Before the unveiling ceremony, Ambassador H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun and CLEC Director-General Prof. Ma Jianfei had a meeting on deepening the cooperation between the two sides, building an innovative center for language learning and promoting the high-quality development of international Chinese language education in Indonesia.
