On June 27, the two groups including Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing, and H.E. Chen Dehai, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Center, visited the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) and held talks with Prof. Ma Jianfei, Director-General of the CLEC, on further strengthening the cooperation related with Chinese language teaching in Indonesia.
In recent years, the CLEC, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing, and the ASEAN-China Center have continued to strengthen cooperation, and have successively organized a series of online training programs like "Chinese + Vocational Skills" training for Indonesian educators, local Chinese teachers, which have gained better effects in practice. These actions and training programs play an active role in further strengthening China-Indonesia educational exchanges and cooperation and enhancing the friendship between the Chinese and Indonesian people. All parties said that in order to implement the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, they will take various measures to strengthen cooperation, like actively advancing the signing of cooperation agreements between the CLEC and the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, supporting Chinese language teaching in Indonesian universities, setting up CLEC Smart Classroom, and carrying out series of online training. Therefore, they work together to make contributions to energizing people-to-people and cultural exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and Indonesia, and promoting their practical cooperation in various fields.
Since 2021, the CLEC has cooperated with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing and the ASEAN-China Center to provide Leadership Training Course for Principals for nearly 600 outstanding primary and secondary school principals in Indonesia, Teachers Training for Local Chinese Teachers for more than 400 local Chinese teachers, and "Chinese + Vocational Skills" training for over 660 vocational college teachers in Indonesia, which have been warmly welcomed by the trainees.
