On May 21st, the second seminar on Confucianism in the vision of social sciences, sponsored by Nishan World Confucian Center and China Confucius Foundation, organized by the branch of Nishan World Confucian Center in Shandong University and the editorial office of Journal of Confucius, was held in Jinan via video. Kong Fanke, the first-class inspector of the Publicity Department of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, and Guo Chengyan, secretary of the Party committee and vice director of Nishan World Confucian Center (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation), president and secretary-general of China Confucius Foundation and secretary of the Party committee of Confucius Research Institute, attended the event and extended speeches respectively. Wang Xuedian, the executive dean of Advanced Institute of Confucian Studies, Shandong University, editor-in-chief of Journal of Literature, History and Philosophy and Journal of Journal of Confucius, gave summary speech.
Over 30 experts and scholars from Party School of CPC Central Committee, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking Unviversity, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Capital Normal University, Zhejing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University, Tongji University, Wuhan University, Shandong University, Xiamen University, Northwest, Ningxia University, Huaqiao University, Qufu Normal University, expressed their own opinions on and warmly discussed Confucianism and politics, Confucianism and study on Li, Confucianism and Law Studies, Confucianism and social governance.
Liu Tingshan, Liu Hao, two members of the Party Committee and vice director of Nishan World Confucian Center (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation), and other staff of Nishan World Confucian Center took part in the seminar.
