Iwan Syahril expressed thanks to CLEC for organizing this training for Indonesian educators in cooperation with the ASEAN-China Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing. He hoped that principals and teachers would learn together online to further enhance their Chinese language skills and abilities, so that they could better improve themselves in the future and advance the overall standard of Indonesian education and Chinese language.

Andy Seto noted that the principals and teachers who participated in the training are the backbone in the field, sure that this training will facilitate the development of the Indonesian education and help them to be able to better cope with the changes in education in the new era.

Djauhari Oratmangun addressed that there are now more than 1,500 colleges and universities in Indonesia offering Chinese language courses, and Chinese has become the third widely spoken language in Indonesia and one of the most frequently spoken foreign languages. He said that by learning Chinese language and culture, Indonesians have expanded their international horizons, improved their professional competitiveness, and energized the development of Indonesia as well as the relationship between the two countries.
