On April 21, during the "International Chinese Language Day" event, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Nonferrous Metal Industry Human Resource Center (CNMIHR). Prof. Ma Fangfei, Director-General of CLEC, and Mr. Xie Chengjie, Director of CNMIHR, attended the signing ceremony and signed the agreement.

With the high-quality promotion of the "Belt and Road" initiative, China's economic and trade relations with other countries are getting closer and closer, and Chinese enterprises are accelerating their integration into the world, which has driven more and more Chinese language learners from different countries to consider learning Chinese, acquiring skills and working in Chinese enterprises as a popular choice for their career development. In recent years, the CLEC and the CNMIHR have been giving full play to their respective advantages, closely following the needs of Chinese enterprises "going abroad" and conducting pilot projects of "Chinese + Vocational Skills", cultivating local talents with both Chinese language knowledge and skills, developing vocational Chinese language teaching materials.  

The two sides will take the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to further mobilize the resources of enterprises, institutions and other sides, adhere to the basis of Chinese language teaching, to empower vocational skills training as a feature. They are committed to the training of "dual-teacher" teachers who can teach Chinese and vocational skills, joining hands to set up "Chinese Workshop", "CLEC Smart Classroom", "Chinese Testing Center" and other new types of education platform. Furthermore, they will establish a special scholarship for "Chinese + Vocational Skills", taking multiple measures to advance the high-quality development of the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" program.
