"Hello", "Come on", "Can you help me"——During the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the Winter Olympics Language Service Manual "100 Chinese Sentences for the Winter Olympics" jointly published by the CLEC and the People's Education Press was distributed to three Winter Olympic villages in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. These manuals are distributed to athletes and team officials of various countries for them to learn and master Chinese.

Otto, press secretary of Norway, is very interested in Chinese culture. To this end, Wang Ruixia, the media operation manager of the Beijing Winter Olympics Village, specially found "100 Chinese Sentences for the Winter Olympics" for Otto to learn. "Every time we meet, we greet each other in Chinese, and he has set a goal for himself - to strive to become a Chinese expert." Wang Ruixia said.

Opened "100 Chinese Sentences for the Winter Olympics", the reporter found that this book not only contains the most basic Chinese dialogues, which can meet the basic needs of delegations from various countries to participate in and live in China during the Winter Olympics, but also includes the interpretation of the Winter Olympics and Chinese culture, showing the concept of hosting the Olympics, Chinese traditional culture and the development of contemporary China. For example, through the introduction of the Winter Olympic venues, it reflects the Olympic concept of "green, inclusion, open and clean"; through the stories of Olympic figures from different industries, it reflects the same target of pursuit of "unity, peace, progress and tolerance".

Hou Kun, a member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Committee, said that "100 Chinese Sentences for the Winter Olympics" enables athletes, coaches and referees from all over the world to better understand China and bring interpretations of Chinese culture and world peace to their countries.

Peter, an official of the Dutch delegation, said that he would bring the book back to the Netherlands to learn Chinese with his family. It is worth mentioning that Peter also learned to say "Happy New Year" on the Chinese Lunar New Year's Day. When he got the Pocket Book, he couldn't wait to read it, the scene was very warm.

Bayatuya, an official of the Mongolian delegation, is an alumnus of Beijing Language and Culture University, where she studied Chinese. She said that receiving the Pocket Book gave her the motivation to continue learning Chinese.
