Through programs like "China Studies Program", the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) has cultivated a group of high-level Chinese language learners around the world who can master and use Chinese proficiently. Aiming to provide a quality platform for outstanding overseas young language learners, interpreters, and translators to learn, practice and demonstrate their professional abilities, CLEC has cooperated with many universities and professional institutions through the Advanced Chinese Interpretation and Translation Talent Training Program.

This year, supported by CLEC, the 34th Han Suyin International Translation Contest was launched worldwide, and the number of included languages has been expanded to ten, featuring English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Italian, for a total of 20 events. Organized by professional organizations such as Translators Association of China and China Academy of Translation, this tournament is China's longest organized, largest and most influential high-level professional tournament in the translation field, and is welcomed and recognized across the nation and even abroad by young translation and interpretation fans. Young foreign language learners, interpreters, and translators between the ages of 18 and 45 are invited to participate in the competition. The winners of the competition will be invited to attend the award ceremony, and also have the opportunity to receive various kinds of support and assistance in their career development, such as scholarships for master's or doctoral studies in China, translation publication and training grants in China or online, provided by the China Studies Program of CLEC.
